Co-Founder of OLAS Foundation, Karon Pardue is no stranger to loving the ocean. Karon has traveled all over the world chasing "endless summers" in some of the most exotic locations. She lived on the North Shore of Hawaii and the remote Hollister Ranch and through her younger years worked as a tender on a Channel Islands abalone sea urchin boat. Karon spends most of her time mentoring teens and coaches some of the best upcoming surfing athletes. Karon's passion is about balancing surfing with community service. She has spent over 10 years working for various non-profit organizations and knows firsthand what it means to give back to the greater good.
Co-Founder of OLAS Foundation and former professional surfer, Mary has used her passion for the ocean and traveling to help others around the globe. She continues to share the importance of educating the future generations so that change and preservation for our oceans can truly happen. When not traveling the globe, running her surf camps or working on the next OLAS project, Mary can be found playing in the ocean in her hometown, Ventura, CA.
As an avid surfer, Brendan has a deep love for the ocean, surf exploration and giving back to those in need. Brendan works in television broadcasting and has earned 8 Emmy awards throughout his career. He has also worked on various Non-Profit projects all over the past 15 years raising funds toward pediatric cancer research, protecting our oceans, mentoring young adults, hurricane relief and providing clean water to third world countries.
Joe is a lifelong lover of all outdoor activities. He grew up in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania and developed an appreciation for the outdoors at a very young age.
Although he resides in New York, NY he catches waves whenever possible.
Joe works in finance and he has a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University. He also graduated from the Harvard Business Analytics Program with Distinction.
We have a large group of Ventura and Dos Pueblos high school surf team teen ambassadors supporting OLAS.
